CCNH’s First Director of Naturopathic Research
“I’ve always been a naturopath. I just didn¹t know it had a name,” Dr. Emanuel Cheraskin once said. During his 85 years the internationally renowned lifestyle researcher authored 24 books and more than 800 scholarly papers and articles for medical journals and the mass media. His last book, published by Clayton College/Natural Reader Press and titled Human Health and Homeostasis, is used within the school’s curriculum.
Although Dr. Cheraskin died on August 3, 2001, his legacy lives on. While at CCNH, Dr. Cheraskin was proud to have completed a multi-year research study to measure and document the superior health status of our holistic health graduates. Peer-reviewed journal summaries of this landmark study are available at healthier.ccnh.edu.
“It’s very encouraging to see that the healthy doctrines espoused by Clayton College of Natural Health really do have an impact,” he said, “first, on students and then, by their counseling and by personal examples, on those they teach.”
Indeed by his own vibrant example, Dr. Cheraskin taught many thousands of students how to live healthier lives. CCNH honors his memory.
